Morse code is a form of Morse code is a form of communication. This was invented in 1836 and the first message was "What hath God wrought". This message was sent from Washington to Baltimore. The man who made it was called Samuel Morse, he was born in 1791 and died in 1872.  Here is the alphabet, numbers and punctuation.

This is not the only way you can communicate with morse code (dots and dash's) you can use light to transmit morse code.

Morse code was greatly used during world war one and two as if it was intercepted it was hard to decode the message as the enemy didn't understand the code whereas the allies knew the code. it was also very quick.
